Filemaker Pro 11
Fortunately for ZWARM, Filemaker Pro has been putting out better and better versions of Filemaker too. Its latest version is stunningly strong, fast, secure, and robust.
The days of simple flat-file rolodexes or simple recipe lists are long gone. We won't bore you with the technical details (that's what the Filemaker site is for), but suffice it to say we have not run into a single data management scenario that Filemaker or our team couldn't handle.
Filemaker & PHP
In 2007, ZWARM's web building department made some changes. Instead of using just mySQL for online databases, we started to deploy Filemaker as the online database engine too; driving all sorts of custom-built websites. With Filemaker 9's new enhanced PHP handling tools, it just made a lot of sense. This has led us in two directions: custom Filemaker driven websites, and online collaborative tools. Here's some more info on both.
Custom Filemaker Websites
Imagine being able to build websites directly on top of your existing Filemaker solutions. No more synchronizing, or endless importing and exporting of data between your company database and your website. Now, they're one and the same. The Filemaker system in your office will also run your website. Now when orders are placed online, they're in your Filemaker system right away. And vice versa, when you make a change on your office database, it's immediately reflected on your site. It's a great tool, and many of our clients are excited about it.
Filemaker Hosting
ZWARM will happily arrange professionally hosted high bandwidth Filemaker servers for its clients. Thanks to our hosting friends over at Foxtail Technology, you can host your office solution online so that's it accessible from anywhere, anytime. Better yet, once it's online, it becomes a snap to attach your website directly to it. It's also many times less expensive than hosting your own server and software.
